- level.
-
- In this issue, we take you on a behind-the-scenes studio tour of adult film
- and CD maker VCA Interactive, where their stars get down and dirty making new
- games Strip Fighter and Outpost 69. Our covergirl Nikie tells us a little
- bit about herself, and reveals two great reasons to pick up her new game,
- CyberXperience.
-
- The adult software pioneers at New Machine Publishing discuss how their
- latest technological breakthrough will set new standards with the futuristic
- erotic thriller, Dream Machine 2.
-
- We give you a preview of The Misadventures of James Spawn, a wickedly funny,
- sexy, and truly interactive movie, which promises to be the ultimate fusion
- of hot adult gaming and Hollywood production values. Our Interactive Cafe
- section offers even more news and previews, featuring a walk through Shane's
- World (sex education class was never like this), a fan club list of all your
- favorite CD Rom stars, and a chance to get a true feel for Rebecca Lord, star
- of Pixis' new title, Diva X: Rebecca.

- All the great IQ reviews are here, and now, with our Demos section, a sample
- of the latest CD Rom titles is at your fingertips.

- As you explore this CD Rom, your cursor will change to the IQ logo whenever
- you are over a spot you can click on. In our features and reviews, words
- highlighted in blue will show a video clip, words highlighted in pink will
- show still pictures. Also, the small pictures that accompany the text on our

-
- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
-
- The file "inst_w31.exe" installs the Windows 3.1 version
- of the IQ Digizine CD-ROM.
-
- The file "inst_w95.exe" installs the Windows 95 version
- of the IQ Digizine CD-ROM.
-
- This installation program first installs an IQ Digizine, Vol. 1 icon
- in the Program Manager Group, IQ Digizine.
-
- Second, it will launch Apple's QuickTime for Windows 2.1.2 installer.
- The QuickTime software is supports the digital video on this CD-ROM.
- If the QuickTime for Windows installer finds older versions of QuickTime,
- then allow the installer to remove these old versions for you.
- This eliminates the often seen "DYNALINK" error.
- The Windows 3.1 QuickTime installer is "QT16.EXE."
- The Windows 95/Windows NT QuickTime installer is "QT32.EXE."
-
- After completing this installation, double-click on
- the IQ Digizine, Vol. 1 icon to launch the IQ Digizine program.
-
- The Windows 3.1 Digizine program is "IQDGZN31.EXE."
- The Windows 95/Windows NT Digizine program is "IQDGZN95.EXE."
-
- PERFORMANCE COMMENTS:
- Screen transitions and sprite graphics animate best at 256 (8 bit) colors,
- while QuickTime movies appear best at "Thousands" (16 bit) or "Millions" (32 bit) color.
- So, the best trade-off is to set the monitor at "Thousands".
- IQ DIGIZINE is designed for a 640 x 480 pixel monitor display.
- Setting your monitor larger only uses up your system's VRAM and
- actually causes the imagery to appear smaller on your screen.
- So, a monitor setting of 640 x 480 at Thousands of colors is best.
-
- Recommedations & Additional Information:
- * Be sure your Video Card driver has the latest version update.
- To learn more about your computer's video display, open
- Windows Setup found in Program Manager, Main.
- * Disable other programs when running the IQ Digizine program.
- * If you are low on RAM, try Control Panel: 386 Enhanced,
- Virtual Memory set to Permanent.
-
- RUNNING DEMOS:
- Many of the demos run best on their own, outside of the IQ Digizine program.
- In the "DEMOS" folder there are a number of folders with demos and samples
- that you can install and run from there.
-
- Some PC demos use Microsoft's Video for Windows drivers. If you do not have that
- software installed, run "wv1160.exe" included on this CD-ROM.
